The Role:
As a JavaScript Engineer specializing in Device Intelligence, you’ll build and optimize client-side data collection, fingerprinting, and obfuscation techniques for Castle’s bot detection system. Your work will directly influence fraud prevention and security intelligence.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and optimize client-side fingerprinting for high-fidelity signals with minimal detection risk
- Implement obfuscation techniques to protect scripts from reverse engineering
- Engineer high-performance telemetry collection with low impact on user experience
- Collaborate with security, data, and R&D teams to refine detection methods
- Enhance browser and device signal collection, improving precision
- Maintain secure and stealthy execution environments to evade attacker detection
What You Bring:
- 5+ years in JavaScript-focused security engineering, data collection, or performance optimization
- Expertise in JavaScript, WebAssembly, and browser APIs, with a focus on fingerprinting and telemetry
- Deep knowledge of browser internals and low-level API behaviors
- Experience with obfuscation, anti-debugging, and reverse engineering resistance
- Strong grasp of browser fingerprinting methods (WebGL, canvas, TLS/JA3) and behavioral analytics
- Ability to collaborate with Infrastructure, ML, and Threat Research teams
